John Chasey

Founder and Managing Director of mobile games developer and publisher IOMO, John joined Infospace as VP Global Games when the company was acquired by Infospace at the end of 2004.
IOMO have been nominated in the Develop Industry Excellence Award for Best Mobile Studio for the last four years and emerged as winners in 2003 and 2004. Amongst scores of titles developed IOMO received three BAFTA nominations for Scooby Doo, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 and Colin McRae Rally 2005. They recently received the inaugural Edge award for best Mobile Game at the Edinburgh Festival for Dirty Sanchez: Party Game.
John has worked in the games industry since the late eighties starting his career as a programmer before moving into management and has experienced life in both development and publishing, as part of a large corporation and as an independent.
John is a founding Director of TIGA (The Independent Game Developers' Association, sits on the Mobile Entertainment magazine Editorial Advisory Board and is a member of the BAFTA Games Committee.
John has a BSc Hons Computer Science from the University of Kent at Canterbury and completed part of his MBA with the Open University, but launching a company got in the way of completing it. He is married with two daughters.
