Antoine Doumenc

Antoine Doumenc is the head of the global sales and business development for Nokia games activities. In this role is driving the company effort to support the Mobile industry growth through multiple gaming services including N-Gage. Prior to this responsibility, he was tagged to head of the companyâs San Francisco-based SNAP Mobile group. âSNAPâ? stands for Scalable Network Application Package, which is Nokiaâs end-to-end solution for developing connected Java⢠mobile games and creating mobile game-playing communities. During his 12 years at Nokia, Antoine has held a number of management positions in the organization like heading the Game Platform Sales for Games in Nokia Multimedia, where he was responsible for bringing the Next generation Mobile Gaming to industry partners Before this, Antoine was Head of Product Marketing and Sales for a venture at Nokia in Helsinki, Finland. He was part of the management team overseeing a small, hand-picked team of Nokia technology expertsâand subcontractorsâworking on an advanced non-cellular phone venture. In addition to guiding new-concept devices through R&D, Antoine also studied the WEB 2.0 mobile applications, from which the Widsets service evolved from. Prior to this, Antoine participated in the N-Gage adventure as a Senior Regional Product Marketing Manager for EMEA Game Consoles at Nokia corporate headquarters in Helsinki. Antoine also worked several years in the DSL Broadband industry for Nokia with Mega operators, participating the early deployment of the technology in which services like on-line games were a decisive driving force. His first job with the company was right out of school in 1996 as an ASIC design engineer for Nokia Networks. Born in Paris, Antoine has a Master of Sciences degree from the Ecole Française dâElectronique et Informatique. He also spent six months studying as an exchange student under the Erasmus Program at The University of Vaasa, in Finland. An avid paragliding enthusiast, when he isnât on the job, Antoine can usually be found swirling in the thermals in the Alps or above the Bay Areaâs steep inclines.
