Biography

Jun Fujiki

Born in Japan in 1978, Jun spent the early part of his career as a software engineer at Extools Inc as part of the team developing the 3DCG software package “Shadeâ€?, and at Unixon Systems Inc. creating a TV advertising management system. Jun’s fascination with interface, interaction and experience design drew him into further research and study and he is currently an adjunct fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) at Kyushu University. Taking as his inspiration "expressions that are impossible in reality, but possible in the human mind", he is searching for an interface interaction that is capable of enriching people's minds. His recent work has brought him great acclaim including many awards such as the ACM SIGGRAPH Emerging Technologies for two consecutive years and Japan Media Arts Festival for three consecutive years to name a few. Jun holds B.Sc, M.Sc, and D.Phil in Design from Kyushu University.
