Andrew Grantham
CENTRIM
Andrew is a Senior Research Fellow at CENTRIM, where he is working on a project investigating the interface of creativity and routinisation within the videogame industry in the UK and looking at user-led innovation mediated by digital social networking; for example, MySpace, LinkedIn and UKVillages. Previously, Andrew has worked on an EPSRC/Ideas Factory project considering 'knowledge leakage' across and between businesses. An online tool is available to assist firms audit their knowledge and its utilisation. He also worked on the EU MobiCom project that examined the impact of mobile commerce on business processes. Andrew originally joined CENTRIM in 1998 to work on a project investigating continuous improvement (CI) in firms' new product development processes. This culminated in a practitioner handbook being produced. Andrew also co-convenes the Tools for Innovation Management MSc for SPRU at the Freeman Centre. His PhD was a study of the UK rail industry and privatisation in the early 1990s.
