Dave McCarthy

I'm currently a freelance writer, and I've written about videogames for Eurogamer, IGN, Edge, PC Gamer, Zoo, Sight & Sound, as well as co-writing two books on the subject. I have a swearing-based blog at http://www.thetriforce.com/ which explains how I was blown up by terrorists on my way to work. I used to work for Rockstar in its London office, and for Future Publishing, as deputy editor of Edge. And in a previous life I worked in investment banking and studied medieval haircuts. I also got the fifth highest first class degree in the school of modern history at Oxford University in 1997, but that's not something I like to mention.
