Charlie Hasdell

Charlie has 13 years of experience in game design, the last 5 of which were spent at SCEE London Studio, working on the SingStar franchise. After completing a degree in Product Design, Charlie started his career in video games design in 1996 working at Vivid Image on Street Racer and SCARS, later moving onto Acclaim and then BAM! Working with small teams, he has developed range of skills with a high degree of technical understanding.
During his time on SingStar, Charlie has worked on a broad selection of elements ranging from SingSong Ping Pong, an ‘80s inspired minigame controlled using the pitch of your voice, to core techniques and technologies that have streamlined the development process. More recently, Charlie has been working with voice recognition technology and its application within SingStar.
